Beauty Review - How to apply eyeliner

A lot of people are afraid of liquid liner. And for good reason! At first, it can be a little tricky to use but practice makes perfect! I use to always wear gel liner and apply with a brush because I felt that I had more control over it because it was a little bit thicker, but now I use both gel and liquid eye liner.
I am not a fan of pencil liners because it contains wax and wax melts on my face and smudges under the eye and you end up like a panda and I don’t think this is a very attractive look J The good thing about gel and liquid liner is, it dries really fast and then doesn’t move for the day.

So here are some of my favourite Gel and Liquid eyeliners to use?

Step by Step guide on how to master the winged liner
Taking a black liquid liner with a very thin brush gently drag the brush along your lash line starting from the top inner corner of your eye toward the outer corner of your eye.

It is really important that you follow the natural shape of your eye. When you try to change the shape of your eyes with liner, it actually makes them look smaller, so you need to make sure you follow the natural shape.

When applying the eye liner make sure that the line is as close to the lashes as possible, this will ensure you keep to the natural shape.
The firmer you press the brush, the thicker the line will be. When you want to do a flick its important to take this is stages and do not try and get it straight in one go.

Once you finish lining your eye, do not blink for at least 10-20 seconds to allow the liner to dry.

I think this diagram is really great, I think its a great visual guide.

I absolutely love using eye liner and wear it every single day. I like to mix it up between gel and liquid depending on the type of eye make up or how dramatic that I want it to look. I think eye liner is one of those things that once you practise and you have lots of q-tips and eye make up remover you cant go wrong :) Practise makes perfect :)
